MonNetA is the German Money Network Alliance founded by Margrit Kennedy in 2003 in response to the need for a professional networking entity for research, development and the support of complementary currencies and new money systems. Members of MonNetA include the most prominent German practitioners, advocates and academics working on complementary currencies.

MonNetA’s aims are:

  • to research and inform how complementary currencies can contribute to creating a  solution for the social, economic and ecological problems on a local, regional, national and international scale.
  • to support the activities of persons, initiatives and networks, which aim to use complementary currencies to overcome social polarisation caused by inequality , unemployment and pollution.

Members of MonNetA include amongst others: Christian Gelleri, Hugo Godshalk, Eva-Maria Hubert, Margrit Kennedy, Bernard Lietaer, Ulrich Scheiper, Ludwig Schuster, Roland Spinola, and John Rogers.
